About The Position

Atlantic Health is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant for the Inpatient PT Department at Morristown Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have experience in working in a large acute care facility and be a team player who will provide exceptional care to our patients. Requirements

• New Jersey License to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant academic program

Nice To Haves

• 0-4 years of experience as a PTA
• Experience in Acute Care in large academic medical setting
• Completed a successful clinical affiliation with Atlantic Health
• Board Certification as Specialist in an area suitable for care in an acute care setting

Responsibilities

• Providing rehabilitation interventions to a wide variety of patients throughout the medical center
• Providing patient and family education
• Documenting interventions in the EMR
• Billing appropriately
• Supporting other clinicians in competency development and implementation
• Providing supervision to the rehabilitation aides
• Participating in the orientation of new staff members
• Serving as a clinical instructor for students
• Exercising independent judgement of moderately complex cases with minimal to no direct supervision
