About The Position

Samba Recovery at Savannah is seeking a full-time Licensed Outpatient Therapist (SUD) to join our team, working Monday through Friday from 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM. This position provides therapeutic services to individuals participating in outpatient treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. The ideal candidate holds a current clinical license in Georgia (e.g., LCSW, LPC, etc.), and is passionate about providing client-centered care in a structured, supportive environment. Will consider CAACD, CADC ll and CADC l. Requirements

  • Current licensure in Georgia as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent (required). Will consider CAADC, CADC ll, CADC l.
  • Master’s degree in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or a related behavioral health field from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a behavioral health or substance use treatment setting preferred.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and meeting clinical documentation standards.
  • Ability to manage a caseload while maintaining professional boundaries and client engagement.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to supervise clinicians in training.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling services to clients enrolled in outpatient programs (IOP, PHP, and OP).
  • Complete clinical documentation, including biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans, and ASAM notes in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Document clinical services and progress notes in accordance with state and program standards.
  • Facilitate psychoeducational and process groups focused on recovery, coping skills, relapse prevention, and wellness.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support client treatment goals.
  • Participate in case consultations, treatment team meetings, and ongoing training opportunities.
  • Assist with crisis intervention and safety planning, including referrals to higher levels of care, as needed.
