Position Overview As a Licensed Optician, you'll be a valued member of our friendly, customer-focused team, guiding clients to the perfect eyewear solutions with expertise and care. This is a part-time, in-person role based in the Greater Ocala Area, with shifts from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 2–3 times per week.
Requirements
- Licensed as an Optician in accordance with state regulations
- Expertise in optics, optical instruments, lens measurements, and adjustments
- Experience in optometry and familiarity with practices supporting eye health
- Proven proficiency in delivering exceptional customer service
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building customer relationships
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in prescription and frame handling
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual abilities and experience in retail optical settings are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with eyewear selection, fittings, and adjustments.
- Customize prescription lenses and ensure proper measurements.
- Educate customers on frame selections, lens options, and eye health.
- Collaborate with optometrists and team members to provide comprehensive vision care.
- Maintain a high standard of customer satisfaction and service excellence.
