About The Position
Licensed Optician Euola is seeking a Licensed Optician or ABO-Certified Optician to support the Martinsburg VA Medical Center by providing optical services to veteran patients. The Optician will assist with eyewear dispensing, measurements, adjustments, and patient education in a clinical setting.
Requirements
- State Licensed Optician or ABO Certification
- Experience in optical dispensing
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work in a healthcare environment
- Ability to obtain VA background clearance
Responsibilities
- Fit and dispense prescription eyewear
- Measure pupillary distance and segment height
- Assist patients with frame selection
- Verify prescription specifications
- Perform minor eyeglass repairs and adjustments
- Document patient care in VA electronic health records
- Maintain compliance with VA and HIPAA regulations
