Under the supervision of the Licensed Nurse, the Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) performs direct and indirect nursing care for patients. The LNA is responsible for the care provided to assigned patients and is accountable to the unit manager/charge nurse for such care. The position involves providing care to assigned patients in conformance with Nursing Department Policies, Standards of Practice, physician orders, and an approved plan of care. The LNA promotes communication of patients' status, changes in condition, and patients' needs with the licensed nurse. The role functions within Nursing Department and CVMC/WDR policies and procedures, supporting the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the nursing department and CVMC/Woodridge.
