The Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) will assist in the care of patients in the ambulatory clinic under the administrative direction of the Nurse Manager and Practice Manager. The role involves performing proper patient identification in accordance with HIPAA, escorting patients to exam rooms, and preparing them for examinations or procedures while being aware of age, language barriers, and physical limitations. The LNA will document patient-reported data, medication reviews, past medical and surgical history, and chronic health maintenance, as well as obtain and document patient vital signs. Additionally, the LNA will maintain up-to-date and organized chart information in compliance with Health Information Services (HIS) requirements. The position also includes ensuring the clinic is well supplied, maintaining cleanliness of exam rooms and work areas, participating in infection prevention, and assisting providers with exams and procedures as necessary. The LNA is responsible for following departmental security procedures and ensuring proper handling and labeling of specimens.

  • Assist in the care of patients in the ambulatory clinic.

  • Maintain up-to-date and organized chart information in compliance with HIS requirements.
  • Order and obtain supplies, and re-stock as necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness of exam rooms and work areas, and ensure hallways are clear of equipment.
  • Participate in low-level disinfection and infection prevention activities.
  • Assist providers with exams and procedures as necessary.
  • Ensure proper handling and labeling of specimens.
  • Perform proper donning and doffing of PPE and assist others in the process.
  • High school graduation required.
  • Licensed Nursing Assistant in the State of NH required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential material with maturity, sensitivity, and discretion.
  • Demonstrated keyboarding skills and familiarity with computer use.
  • Previous hospital or ambulatory experience preferred.
