About The Position

The Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) position in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit is a full-time role requiring 3x12 hour shifts with rotation. The LNA performs various patient care activities and related nonprofessional services necessary for the personal needs and comfort of patients. This role involves assisting nursing service personnel with a variety of patient care duties and managing the storage, handling, and disposal of medications in accordance with the Medication Storage and Handling Policy.

Requirements

• High school graduate required.
• Must demonstrate keyboarding skills and be familiar with computer use.
• Licensed Nursing Assistant in the State of NH required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire.

Nice To Haves

• Previous hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with routine patient care activities under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, including performing ADLs, obtaining clinical data such as vital signs, heights, and weights.
• Utilizes universal precautions, collects specimens, or performs point of care testing and records results in the medical record.
• Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment by keeping hallways clear of excess equipment and emptying linen bags when full.
• Assists visitors and answers telephones.
• Assists new co-workers in learning the work of the department.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.
