About the position

Emerald Heights, a premier life plan community located in Redmond, Washington, is dedicated to providing our residents the best senior living experience in the Puget Sound area. We offer a full continuum of care from independent living to assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care. We are searching for a Licensed Nurse who is passionate about providing excellent care to our skilled nursing residents. Newly graduated Licensed nurses are welcome and encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities

  • Manage resident-directed health services and supervise the day-to-day resident clinical needs during assigned shift.
  • Practice high standards of nursing care and implement the policies and procedures of the nursing department.
  • Provide resident directed services that honor individual lifestyles and preferences, promoting that the Corwin Center is home for the resident.
  • Consult with attending physicians for treatments, medications, rehabilitation, etc.
  • Notify attending physicians, family members, and members of the neighborhood team when there is a change in the resident's condition.
  • Complete medication and treatment passes in accordance with state regulation and facility policy.
  • Complete medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, and chartings.
  • Provide leadership with coaching and mentoring to the neighborhood team and supervise NACs' daily tasks and routine care of residents.
  • Assist nursing assistant staff in providing direct care when needed and actively assist nursing assistants in answering resident initiated call light service requests.
  • Create and maintain an atmosphere of personal interest and a positive emphasis on a calm environment throughout all neighborhoods.

Requirements

  • Current unencumbered Washington State RN license.
  • Food Handler's permit, CPR and First Aid certification.
  • AED certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • Willingness to seek out new methods and principles, incorporating them into existing nursing practices.
  • Regular, dependable and reliable attendance.
  • Evidence of basic leadership skills and supervision.
