About The Position

Reporting to a Clinical Program Supervisor, the Mental Health Therapist I provides direct clinical and psychoeducational services to individuals (adults and minors), families, and groups. The Mental Health Therapist I facilitates client education, support groups, and promotes domestic violence awareness and prevention through community outreach. Provide crisis counseling services. Plan and facilitate client psycho-educational and clinical support groups utilizing evidence informed/based curriculums. Provide individual, crisis, and/or family therapy in a variety of settings including telehealth, in office, or in-home. Services to be delivered based on clinical assessment. Complete bio-psychosocial assessments and develop individualized comprehensive treatment and safety plans in collaboration with clients. Administer and analyze assessment tools and utilize results to inform treatment planning. Provide clinical support to clients on caseload who are in crisis in the evenings and/or weekends, as needed. Provide clinical support and supervision to MSW and/or MFT student interns as a designated Field Instructor. Assist with 40 Hour Domestic Violence Advocate Training, community-based presentations, and briefings.

Requirements

  • Master level degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or other related behavioral science field.
  • Licensed Clinician and in good standing in the state of California (i.e., LCSW, LMFT, etc.)
  • Prospective employees must pass a background screening to the satisfaction of the agency prior to placement.
