Position : Licensed Mental Health Counselor/Therapist - Independent Contractor Reports To: Vice President Position Description: Responsible for providing therapies to individuals, couples, groups, and families to promote ideal mental health and the Healing Heart Center

Requirements

• Master’s degree required
• Graduate from an accredited master’s social work or behavioral health education program
• An advanced level license by a state professional certifying body that is permitted by law to provide care and services without direction or supervision
• Licensed LCPC, LCSW, or LISW
• You MUST recruit your own clients

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients regularly to provide counseling, treatment and adjust treatment plans as necessary
• Conduct ongoing assessments of client progress
• Responsible for diagnosing and treating mental health disorders
• Create individualized treatment plans according to client needs and circumstances
• Responsible for referring clients to specialists as necessary
• Establish positive, trusting rapport with clients
• Serve as a client advocate to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations
• Change method and degree of therapy when indicated by client reactions and needs
