About the position

Nexus-Woodbourne Family Healing is seeking a licensed social worker or counselor that is well-versed with Trauma Informed practices and clinical diagnosis treatment processes to provide mental and behavioral health services to male identifying youth, ages 12 - 18. This position not only offers a fulfilling career, but also ample opportunities for professional growth and development. The Mental Health Therapist is required to work ON-SITE. This is NOT a HYBRID or REMOTE role.

Responsibilities

  • Create and drive a trauma-informed environment; establishing and maintaining a positive treatment culture.
  • Collaborate with youth and family to lead and develop the Nexus Individual and Family Guidance Plans.
  • Engage in Family Collaborative Intake meetings.
  • Complete Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths functional assessment.
  • Develop and monitor individual treatment plans in collaboration with family, youth, and providers.
  • Provide individualized, youth-focused, strength and evidence-based family and individual therapy models.
  • Develop and facilitate milieu and treatment groups that are trauma informed, educational, and treatment focused.
  • Participate in all youth related treatment team meetings.
  • Serve as a clinical treatment team leader to Youth Care Professionals (YCPs).
  • Be available on-call for consultation/treatment direction.
  • Assess readiness for discharge in conjunction with the treatment team.
  • Coordinate/communicate aftercare needs of the client with family and necessary providers.
  • Ensure all required client reports, records, and documentation are produced accurately.
  • Educate and facilitate trainings for staff on trauma informed practices and clinical diagnosis treatment processes.
  • Participate in team meetings and program clinical team meetings.
  • Ensure confidentiality regarding mental health and medical issues.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, or clinically related field.
  • Valid clinical licensure: Maryland- LMSW, LGPC, LCSW, LCSW-C, or LCPC.
  • Valid driver's license required.
