Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare has immediate openings for Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Therapists in Northern New Jersey to provide In-Home and Center-Based weekly therapeutic services for youth with mental health disorders. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals to make a meaningful impact while working with a diverse population of children and adolescents with exceptional needs. Requirements

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields.
• Active license in New Jersey (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC, LSW, LFT); candidates with out-of-state licenses may be considered if reciprocity applies.
• Minimum 5 years of post-licensure clinical experience working with youth with mental health disorders
• Experience mentoring, supervising, or training junior therapists and interns
• Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training
• Some training or willingness to complete Crisis Intervention Training
• Experience with treatment planning, progress notes, initial assessments, and goal setting
• Proficiency in counseling approaches such as CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma-Informed Care
• Knowledge of DSM-V for Assessments and Diagnosis
• Experience providing positive behavior supports
• Prior experience working with children ages 3-20; experience with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) is a plus
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting
• Must submit resume plus copies of master’s degree and NJ license or certification
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship
• State Reciprocity considered, but candidate must be within 25–30 minutes of service areas
• Availability during after-school hours (12 PM–8 PM); weekend flexibility is a plus
• Full-time candidates must not maintain an active private practice due to potential conflicts of interest.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual In-home therapy, Group therapy sessions, Telehealth therapy, and Outpatient center sessions.
• Conduct bio-psycho-social assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Teach coping, social, and anger management skills; reduce risk behaviors such as self-injury or physical aggression.
• Support youth and caregivers in making effective decisions to manage behavioral challenges.
• Collaborate effectively with the Child & Family Treatment Team and other professionals supporting the youth and family.
• Mentor newly hired therapists and interns, providing guidance, feedback, and support in clinical practices.
• Submit all required documentation and paperwork within designated timeframes (intake, treatment plans, DAP notes, etc.)
• Attend monthly meetings and complete mandatory clinical documentation.
• Must be able to complete or willing to train for Bio-Psycho-Social assessments.
