About The Position

This full-time role is within RS EDEN’s Mental Health and Trauma Recovery program. The Mental Health Professional will manage a caseload of individual, couples, family, and children and facilitate group therapy. The position requires collaboration with the clinical team to deliver high-quality mental health services to individuals who may have justice involvement, substance use disorders, trauma histories, or who are reluctant to receive services. Services are provided across RS EDEN programs, including an outpatient mental health clinic, residential substance use treatment, reentry housing, and individual and family supportive housing sites. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing community-based services and a strong desire to support children and families. This role includes providing therapy and skills-based interventions across a diverse client base, with a particular focus on advancing family-centered programming. The position will play a key role in developing and supporting ongoing family, parenting, and child-supportive services. A commitment to high-quality care, a belief in second chances, and a deep understanding of people’s capacity to heal are essential. The Mental Health Professional will also help integrate mental health services with community engagement activities—both within the organization and in collaboration with external partners—to broaden the reach and impact of care. Strong organizational skills and a basic understanding of the business realities of providing fee-for-service care are necessary. Pay ranges from $75,000-$85,000 annually

Requirements

Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related clinical field (required).
Active clinical licensure or license eligibility (e.g., LICSW, LMFT, LPCC, LADC) in the state of Minnesota.
Minimum of 2–3 years of clinical experience providing therapy to individuals, couples, children, and families, including those impacted by substance use disorders, trauma, and system involvement.
Strong knowledge of child development, postpartum mental health, and parenting interventions, particularly for families affected by SUD, CPS involvement, or reunification processes.
Knowledge of trauma-informed care, family systems theory, and the impact of early parent-child attachment.
Experience working with justice-involved populations.
Demonstrated ability to provide culturally responsive and equity-centered services in diverse communities.
Proficiency in completing diagnostic assessments and developing measurable, strength-based treatment plans.
Skilled in facilitating group interventions and delivering psychoeducation.
Excellent written and verbal communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Comfort working independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
Experience with electronic health records and familiarity with clinical documentation standards preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain a minimum caseload of 24 direct client hours per week, providing high-quality therapeutic services.
Deliver individual, couples, family, and child therapy using evidence-based, trauma-informed, and systemic approaches.
Conduct diagnostic assessments and develop individualized treatment plans that are responsive to clients' unique needs, including those affected by substance use disorders, justice involvement, or family separation.
Establish and maintain strong, trust-based therapeutic relationships to support long-term client progress.
Facilitate therapy and skills-based groups focused on parenting, recovery, emotional regulation, and relationship building.
Provide therapeutic support during the postpartum period, addressing emotional, relational, and developmental challenges for new parents.
Respond to client crises in a timely, professional, and therapeutic manner using de-escalation and clinical judgment.
Collaborate with internal RS EDEN teams and external providers to ensure comprehensive and integrated support for clients and families.
Work effectively with justice-involved individuals and families, including those involved with child protective services or working toward reunification.
Actively participate in clinical staff meetings, case consultation, supervision, and professional development.
Partner with staff and leadership to foster a collaborative, supportive, and sustainable work environment.
Support the development and delivery of family-centered, parenting, postpartum, and child focused services within the organization.
Assist in the integration of mental health and therapeutic supports across RS EDEN programs, particularly in housing, recovery, and reentry services.
Participate in community engagement and collaborate with external stakeholders to expand access to supportive services for families and children.
Complete all clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in a timely and compliant manner.
Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with HIPAA, ethical guidelines, and organizational, state, and federal standards.
Meet with prospective clients, families, and staff to promote program engagement and ensure a welcoming, trauma-informed environment.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the evolving needs of the organization and the clients it serves.
