About The Position

We’re supporting an established program in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and are
seeking a Mental Health Outpatient Counselor to contribute to its continued
growth and success. At Merakey, we take a whole-person approach—integrating

interdisciplinary team provides compassionate, evidence-based care in an

This is a Fee-for-Service position. You’ll be compensated per service provided,
allowing you the flexibility to create a schedule that suits you. This position

Requirements

• Active licensure as an LPC or LCSW.
• Master’s degree in human services or a related field.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience working with adults experiencing mental illness.
• Comprehensive knowledge of recovery principles and recovery-focused service systems.
• Possession of a valid Louisiana Driver’s License and compliance with all necessary state and federal clearances.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify mental health needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based approaches
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy in an outpatient setting
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with standards
• Offer crisis intervention and support as needed
