About The Position

Licensed Master Electrician ITnova is seeking a Licensed Master Electrician with at least 7 years’ experience in the electronics or related field with at least Five (5) years experience in the design, construction, testing, installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic systems. The Licensed Master Electrician will provide senior-level electrical and electronic system for a Hardware and Software Maintenance program. This position is responsible for the design, installation, testing, maintenance, repair, and quality assurance of complex electrical, electronic, security, and networked systems in compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • An Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Electronics Technology or a related field; or Technical school certificate of completion in the electrical field; or Equivalent military training. An additional year of specialized experience may be substituted for the required education.
  • Must possess a Master Electrician License from the Maryland Board of Master Electricians.
  • Seven (7) years of experience in the electronics or related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience in the design, construction, testing, installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with security and monitoring systems including CCTV, Access Control, Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems, Emergency Call Systems, Ambient Air Monitoring Systems, Audio/Visual, and related security systems. Experience shall include basic operation of all systems, including system design, installation, maintenance, QA/QC, and systems testing.
  • Experience maintaining Ethernet networks, including WANs, LANs, and WLANs.
  • Experience maintaining Microsoft server and client hardware and software.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and oversee design, construction, installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of electrical and electronic systems.
  • Provide technical leadership and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support and maintain security and monitoring systems, including: CCTV Access Control Systems Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems Emergency Call Systems Ambient Air Monitoring Systems Audio/Visual and other security systems
  • Perform system-level activities including: System design Installation and configuration Preventive and corrective maintenance Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) Systems testing and commissioning
  • Maintain and support Ethernet networks, including Wide Area Networks (WANs), Local Area Networks (LANs), and Wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs).
  • Maintain Microsoft server and client hardware and software environments supporting security systems.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure all work complies with National Electrical Code (NEC), applicable standards, and MTA requirements.
