About The Position

Vancouver Wellness Studio is seeking an awesome human and passionate Licensed Massage Therapist dedicated to providing the best possible therapeutic service to our patients as part of our Collaborative, Multidisciplinary Healthcare Team at our Waterfront Spa Location. This is a W-2 position. Our ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience providing massage therapy to individuals in various settings and has a strong passion for holistic, collaborative care. We emphasize diversity and inclusion, conduct regular check-ins, and provide continuing education opportunities. We are looking to add another Licensed Massage Therapist to our highly skilled and professional LMT team at our Waterfront Spa location on the Vancouver Columbia River waterfront. This position starts part-time, 20-25 hours per week. Schedules are consistent and do not frequently change. Participation in weekly staff meetings and marketing tasks is mandatory and is paid as administrative hours. This position reports directly to the Waterfront Director. Available to expand work hours as caseload grows.

Requirements

  • Licensed Massage Therapist in WA State
  • 5 years of massage experience post-graduation minimum
  • Trained in and proficient with a variety of treatment-based and therapeutic massage techniques
  • Have graduated from an accredited Massage Therapy school
  • Have a National Provider Identification (NPI) number
  • Have appropriate professional malpractice insurance
  • Have a High school GED or higher

Responsibilities

  • Provide a variety of massage and spa treatments to patients/clients
  • Arrive on time for shifts and maintain a consistent, regular attendance record
  • Properly open and close your treatment room each day, and handle room turnovers
  • Communicate with the Wellness Concierge/Front Desk to ensure that the check-in, check-out, and payment process is completed
  • Complete appropriate SOAP note charting and sign all charts within 24 hours
  • Regularly participate in marketing efforts to build and maintain client caseloads. This may include attending professional referral groups, social media contributions, newsletter, website, or blog contributions - Up to 2 hours per week of paid time
  • Actively promote VWS treatments, services, and promotions
  • Maintain professional demeanor, conduct, and hygiene
  • Develop professional & personalized relationships with regular clients and community members
  • Handle patient/client questions and concerns promptly, professionally, and courteously
  • Maintain complete confidentiality in all patient/client matters following the company HIPAA policy
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Must maintain annual continued education, stay current on industry trends and services, and be willing to complete ongoing education in massage therapy
  • Recommend additional products or services that may benefit the client
  • Use therapeutic massage techniques to deliver a safe and exceptional customer experience that meets their needs and desired results
  • Support a positive working environment for both clients and staff through relationship-building and team development
