We are seeking a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist to work with individuals coping with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. The Primary Therapist provides therapy services, with a focus on relational and interpersonal dynamics within families, marriages, and couples. Position: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Location: In-Person, Port Hueneme, California

Requirements

  • Education: Masters degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
  • License: Current, valid license in good standing with the Board of Behavioral Science as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
  • Driver's License: Current, valid California Driver License with a good driving record (per company discretion)
  • Must be able to work one weekend day
  • Additional Requirements Level II: Meet and maintain all applicable California requirements to be a supervisor of Associate Clinical Social Workers, Associate Marriage and Family Therapists, and Associate Professional Clinical Counselors.
  • Possess a current and active California license that is not under suspension or probation as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
  • Must fulfill pre-employment conditions: tuberculosis screening (annually thereafter), background check (including criminal and driving record check), drug screening, and reference checks.
  • Ongoing monitoring and screenings during employment in accordance with the law and company policy.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including days, evenings, and holidays to meet 24/7/265 healthcare facility needs

Responsibilities

  • Providing individual, family and group therapy.
  • Conducting initial and ongoing assessments.
  • Developing individualized and follow-up treatment plans.
  • Actively participating in the multi-disciplinary team process to contribute to positively to the overall treatment plan for clients.
  • Level II Additional Duties: provide supervision to Associate Clinical Social Workers, Associate Marriage and Family Therapists, and/or Associate Professional Clinical Counselors.
