About The Position
The Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) delivers short-term, goal-oriented therapy to adults in a primary care setting. The role focuses on improving access to behavioral health support and aligning care plans with medical treatment goals.
Requirements
- Master’s or Doctorate in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology.
- California licensure (LCSW or Psychologist) or registration (ASW/AMFT).
- Experience with diverse patient populations.
- Proficiency in DSM-5 assessment and documentation practices.
Nice To Haves
- Experience within an integrated health care environment.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed and culturally sensitive care models.
- Spanish-speaking ability is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Provide 10–12 sessions of structured therapy using evidence-based methods.
- Conduct behavioral health screenings and clinical assessments.
- Support physicians and care teams through consultation and coordinated planning.
- Refer patients to specialty care or community resources as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and meet all reporting requirements.
