Transform at JLL with your leadership experience as a Lead Electrician on a technology client account! You will work as part of an engineering & facilities team at multi-million sq ft client portfolio with a corporate headquarters and 3 data centers managed by JLL. Schedule: onsite, Mon-Fri 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM with an on-call rotating schedule Location: North Austin / Round Rock, TX Reports to: Regional Facilities Manager Additional Perks: company provided cell phone, laptop, cafeteria onsite, company provided uniforms, tools, & PPE, large engineering team, place to learn with different equipment and SME's.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all electrical maintenance programs, including preventive, predictive, and corrective strategies.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of annual infrared scanning programs, reviewing reports, and driving corrective actions.
  • Manage major maintenance shutdowns, including MOP (Method of Procedure) and PTP (Pre-Task Planning) development, contractor oversight, and client coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA70b and other applicable codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and oversee third-party vendors for routine PMs, arc flash studies, coordination studies, and specialized repairs.
  • Develop scopes of work, review contractor procedures, and provide technical oversight during project execution.
  • Serve as the point of contact for all electrical vendors under contract with the client across the Central Texas portfolio.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot critical electrical systems, including utility feeds, ATS, switchgear, UPS systems, generators, PDU/STS units, batteries, and lighting systems.
  • Provide real-time operational support during emergency events, including after-hours response and corrective actions.
  • Support system resets, switchgear operations, and ensure uptime of power-critical infrastructure.
  • Provide technical input on construction and upgrade projects related to electrical infrastructure.
  • Assist with the development of multi-year capital improvement plans, cost forecasting, and budgeting related to electrical assets.
  • Maintain accurate electrical system documentation, including one-line diagrams, PM logs, and compliance records.
  • Maintain documentation to support audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
  • Administer and support the Critical Facility Change Request and Incident Reporting processes.
  • Manage and track electrical system loads and maintain building compliance documentation.
  • Support and mentor junior engineering staff and technicians.
  • Partner with other engineering leads, project managers, and facility stakeholders to ensure alignment on electrical priorities.
  • Represent electrical operations in cross-functional and safety-related meetings and programs.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Master Electrician License (required)
  • Eight (8)+ years of experience in electrical systems facilities maintenance
  • Three (3)+ years of relevant people management experience (managing a team of maintenance/electrical personnel)
  • Strong working knowledge of NFPA 70E, 70B, NEC, OSHA standards, and local codes
  • Hands-on experience supporting electrical infrastructure in data centers or large commercial real estate portfolios
  • Demonstrated experience with CMMS systems, arc flash/coordination studies, and load tracking
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documents

Nice-to-haves

  • Military experience (e.g., Army Prime Power, Navy ET/Nuke, Air Force HVAC/Power Pro Electrician) is a plus.
  • Experience managing electrical infrastructure in mission-critical environments
  • Vendor management and contract oversight experience
  • Familiarity with building management systems (BMS) and power monitoring tools
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
