We have seven locations throughout Wisconsin and Illinois, and are looking to add a Journeyman Plumber to our Elkhorn Team! As a Licensed Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

Requirements

  • Wisconsin Journeyman Plumber License (mandatory). This is not an apprentice opportunity.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Driver's License with a clean driving record the past 5-years
  • Excellent customer service and sales skills
  • Knowledge of plumbing repairs, maintenance, and installation techniques
  • Exhibit an in-depth knowledge and understanding of Plumbing trades
  • Have the ability to read, interpret, utilize and train on manuals, schematics and control circuits related to Plumbing systems
  • Technical aptitude with knowledge of local plumbing codes and an ability to use resources at hand to find solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments
  • Good computer technical skills: knowledge of and proficiency in common office applications such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook and general software navigation.
  • Possess a strong personal desire for improvement.
  • Ability and willingness to work non-standard schedule: nights, weekends and holidays as/if required
  • Must be able to stand, bend, twist and lift more than 70 pounds periodically throughout the shift
  • Must be able to pass a lift test
  • Must be able to pass a drug test

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, maintain, and pressure test all pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, drainage, sprinkler, and gas systems according to specifications and plumbing codes.
  • Determine sources of plumbing malfunctions and complete repairs as indicated or according to work orders.
  • Install and repair pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, and plumbing system equipment, including sinks, toilets, water heaters, water softeners, etc.
  • Receive and complete work orders.
  • Select material and hardware and make time and materials estimates.
  • Maintain accurate records on material and labor used.
  • Maintain inventory of Adams tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean.
  • Respond to emergency calls as needed.
  • Working in other areas of the Service Department to provide support during absences or shortage of staff in other trades or to perform duties associated with light construction projects.
  • Requires flexibility and understanding that all team members may be required to perform duties outside their normal area of expertise to meet the mission and goals of the Adams team.
