About The Position

Are you an experienced and licensed Journeyman Electrician looking for a new opportunity? We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable electrician to join our team and work on a variety of commercial and industrial electrical systems. As a Journeyman Electrician, on our Commercial & Industrial Team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments. This role ensures compliance with electrical codes and safety standards while mentoring apprentices and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality electrical solutions.

Requirements

  • Licensed as a Journeyman Electrician or have at least 8,000 legitimate hours and are eligible to take the WI Journeyman Electrician Exam.
  • At least four years of experience as a journeyman electrician in an industrial or commercial setting
  • Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety practices
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Skill in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment
  • Experience with PLCs, VFDs, motors, generators, transformers, and lighting systems.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Install, modify, and troubleshoot electrical systems, such as lighting, power distribution, motors, generators, transformers, switchgear, control panels, fire alarms, and data communication.
  • Test and inspect electrical systems and components using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Repair or replace faulty or damaged wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand and power tools.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with other tradespeople, contractors, engineers, and customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent.
  • Follow all established safety policies and procedures and report any hazards or injuries to the supervisor.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor apprentice electricians and helpers.
  • Keep current on the latest developments and innovations in the electrical field.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
