About The Position

New Life Treatment Center (NLTC) is a 245G-licensed nonprofit organization providing substance use disorder treatment across southwestern Minnesota. We’re looking for a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) to join our inpatient and residential treatment team in Woodstock. As a fully licensed, independent clinical practitioner and qualified mental health professional (QMHP), you’ll provide clinical leadership within an interdisciplinary team conducting mental health assessments, leading individual and group therapy, and overseeing integrated treatment planning for co-occurring needs. This is a role for someone who is as comfortable leading with both clinical depth and genuine care for the people around them. This role is based at New Life Treatment Center. Employees in this position are employed by ElevaCare, which provides staffing support for New Life.

Requirements

  • Current, active LICSW license in good standing with the Minnesota Board of Social Work (BOSW)
  • Master’s degree in social work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited program
  • Completion of post-degree supervised clinical experience required for LICSW licensure
  • Minimum of two years free from problematic substance use
  • Ability to pass a Minnesota DHS background study
  • Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Commitment to trauma-informed, person-centered, and culturally responsive practice

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a residential, inpatient, or co-occurring SUD/mental health treatment setting
  • Familiarity with 245G licensing standards, ASAM Criteria, and integrated treatment approaches
  • Prior experience providing clinical supervision
  • Personal or professional connection to the recovery community

Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent clinical mental health assessments, including diagnostic assessment consistent with DSM standards
  • Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy and clinical counseling to residential clients
  • Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans integrating mental health and co-occurring SUD needs, consistent with ASAM Criteria
  • Fulfill the qualified mental health professional (QMHP) role, including clinical oversight, and treatment authorization
  • Collaborate with nursing, counseling, and case management staff as a core member of the interdisciplinary treatment team
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Fulfill mandatory reporting obligations and uphold client confidentiality under 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA
