About The Position

This role is responsible for selling health insurance products while providing limited peer support to the sales team. This role is primarily production-focused, with occasional assistance in training and knowledge sharing. The agent reports directly to the Sales Manager and is expected to follow established sales processes and compliance standards.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Active Health Insurance License (state-specific)
  • Proven experience in health insurance sales
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently while supporting team objectives
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and organization
  • Must be detail oriented and self-motivated.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Anticipate needs in a proactive manner to increase satisfaction.
  • The Company reserves the right to modify any bonus/commission structure prospectively at any time for any reason. A bonus/commission is not considered earned until it is paid, and the employee remains with the Company at the time of payment
  • Take ownership of job responsibilities by initiating prompt and appropriate follow up and/or action to problems.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience mentoring or assisting other agents (not a management role)
  • Bilingual abilities (a plus)
  • Experience in call-center, remote, or high-volume sales environments

Responsibilities

  • Consult with individuals and families to assess healthcare and financial needs
  • Present, explain, and sell health insurance plans (ACA, Medicare, private, or supplemental, as applicable)
  • Assist clients with applications, enrollments, renewals, and policy changes
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal insurance regulations
  • Build and maintain client relationships through follow-ups and ongoing support
  • Meet or exceed individual sales, conversion, and retention goals
  • Provide limited peer assistance to new or developing agents as requested by the Sales Manager
  • Share best practices, product knowledge, and successful sales techniques
  • Assist with informal training sessions or shadowing when needed
  • Reinforce ethical sales behavior and compliance standards
  • Maintain accurate client and sales records using CRM and enrollment systems
  • Stay current on insurance products, carrier updates, and regulatory changes
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and performance review.
  • Actively supports and complies with all components of the compliance program, including, but not limited to, completion of training and reporting of suspected violations of law and Company policy.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all information; abides with HIPAA and PHI guidelines at all times
  • Reacts positively to change and performs other duties as assigned.
