About The Position

Join the Heritage Home Service team as the Generator Install Gas Fitter at our Auburn, NH location Are you a skilled, licensed Gas Fitter looking to take your career to the next level? This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in powering homes and businesses by supporting generator startup operations across New England. As part of our team, you’ll work on cutting-edge generator systems, ensure safe and reliable energy solutions, and bring peace of mind to customers when they need it most. If you’re licensed in New Hampshire — and ideally in Massachusetts and/or Maine — and have a passion for working with propane and natural gas systems, we’d love to hear from you. Experience with propane tanks, piping, and related systems is a plus!
Requirements
- Current New Hampshire Gas Fitter License (required)
- Additional licensure in Massachusetts and/or Maine (strongly preferred)
- Proven experience with propane tanks, piping, and fuel systems.
- Knowledge of state and local codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Must be age 21 or over.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice To Haves
- Previous work in generator startups or generator-related gas systems.
- Familiarity with commercial and residential installations.
- Multi-licensure across New England states.
Responsibilities
- Assist in generator startup operations, ensuring all gas systems are safely connected and tested.
- Install, service, and maintain natural gas and propane systems.
- Conduct inspections to verify compliance with state and local codes.
- Collaborate with electrical and mechanical teams during generator commissioning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve gas-related issues during startup or service calls.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, licenses, and compliance documentation.
- Provide technical expertise and customer service while on-site.
