About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Licensed Fertilizer & Weed Control Technician who can also lead a Shrub Trimming Crew. This dual-role position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining healthy landscapes, and has leadership experience managing small teams.

Requirements

Valid state license for fertilizer and pesticide application (required)
Previous experience in lawn care, landscaping, or turf management
Experience leading or supervising a crew preferred
Strong knowledge of plant health care and pruning techniques
Ability to operate landscaping equipment (trimmers, blowers, sprayers, etc.)
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions
Strong attention to detail
Leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and customer service
Reliability and strong work ethic
Problem-solving mindset

Responsibilities

Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pest control treatments in accordance with state regulations
Diagnose turf and plant health issues and recommend appropriate treatments
Operate and maintain application equipment safely and efficiently
Ensure compliance with all licensing and safety requirements
Keep accurate records of applications and customer services
Lead and supervise a crew performing shrub and hedge trimming services
Train team members on proper trimming techniques and safety procedures
Plan daily routes and ensure timely job completion
Maintain quality standards for all landscaping services
