About The Position
KSA a Pape Dawson Company is searching for a licensed Electrical Engineer with 10+ years of project management experience supporting public infrastructure design projects. At KSA, our projects include water/wastewater, transportation, aviation electrical systems, utilities, SCADA, and a variety of other projects. We are looking for someone who is passionate about electrical engineering and is ready to make a difference in the communities we serve. Additionally, this position will be a Team Lead role helping to manage the electrical design projects, schedule, production oversight, and coordinate with the project managers on time, schedule, and budget. Prior working experience with an engineering consulting firm would be helpful. The ideal candidate is someone willing to work hard and take an independent approach to learning and development. The Electrical Engineer will be expected to coordinate and work closely with a multidiscipline design team throughout the entire life cycle of projects from planning stages, through the development of construction documents, and construction administration. This individual will provide engineering studies including illumination, voltage drop, load flow and over-current coordination; designs and AutoCAD drafting for drawings, Word documents for specifications, and supporting engineering calculations, as well as the review of shop drawings during construction. Experience in the design of building related electrical systems such as lighting and controls, power systems (normal and emergency), and low voltage systems (telecommunications, fire alarm, security) is a plus. This individual should be self-motivated and possess strong leadership skills with an initiative to deliver high quality, technically sound electrical designs.
