About The Position
Under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse, the Certified Nurse Aide performs various duties assisting unit staff nurses and clerical specialists to ensure efficient unit operations and safe patient care following established procedures. Requirements Must be licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Certified Nursing Assistant Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit or within his/her department. Must be able to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures.
