About The Position

The Licensed Clinician must be a self-motivated team player who is willing to help Healing Circle Counseling expand and grow their practice. A licensed clinician should be highly organized, detail-oriented and have excellent interpersonal skills, with a strong aptitude for client care. The clinician will work collaboratively with staff to provide team-based coordinated care.

Requirements

  • Proficient use of computer technologies such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in EMR/EHR System.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and balance multiple fluctuating priorities at once.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment when making decisions.
  • Ability to work independently with willingness to take initiative in addressing concerns and issues for desired outcomes.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality for all client and practice information, consistent with established security and confidentiality policies and HIPAA regulations, at all times.
  • Understanding of health and safety standards.
  • Flexible in taking on new work assignments and working in new processes.
  • Licensed in the state of Virginia.
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology.
  • Previous experience working in a clinical, behavioral health setting or medical/healthcare facility.
  • Experience handling clients, their families and other caregivers.

Responsibilities

  • Possess strong clinical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Provide outpatient counseling to children, adolescents, adults, couples and families; Outpatient services can be provided in an individual and or group basis; prefer someone with couple’s experience.
  • Refer and link clients with additional services and or community resources when clinically indicated.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation congruent with organization guidelines, best practice standards of his/her profession and managed care standard.
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented.
  • Must have experience with electronic medical records.
  • Maintain acceptable standards of professional practice.
  • Quality Assurance: Complete all administrative tasks on time and within practice specifications.
  • Maintain case records in accordance with practice requirements.
  • Organize time to meet work obligations.
  • Attend monthly case consultations and team meetings.
  • Attend trainings as needed in area of specialty or required by practice.
  • Complete CEU’s as required by the Board of Social Work.
  • Abide by federal, State, and local standards, as well as, abide by the highest ethical standards as listed in individual clinician’s licensure ethical codes
  • Complete various special projects, which may require reviewing and analyzing information, identifying problems, recommending solutions, and writing reports.
  • Ensure quality program management through compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
