About The Position

Asteroid Health is a growing behavioral health organization in Newton, MA, delivering evidence-based mental health treatment across a full continuum of care, from Psychiatric Day Treatment and Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP) to General Outpatient services and individual therapy. Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted Massachusetts independent clinical licensure as LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT, in good standing
  • Master's degree or higher in a behavioral health-related field meeting Massachusetts licensure requirements
  • At least 3 years of clinical experience in mental health and/or co-occurring disorder treatment
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating group therapy
  • Strong team orientation with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary setting
  • Willingness to participate in scheduled after-hours on-call rotation
  • Motivated, dependable, and fully committed to the role
  • Working knowledge of ASAM criteria, co-occurring disorder treatment, and medication-assisted treatment
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and Massachusetts behavioral health regulations
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and clinical documentation standards

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in outpatient, IOP, or higher levels of care
  • Familiarity with QA/QI methodology and data-driven performance improvement
  • Background in or passion for workforce wellbeing and reflective supervision

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual therapy, group facilitation, and treatment planning across all levels of care in alignment with evidence-based practices and Massachusetts regulations
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and contribute to collaborative, client-centered care planning
  • Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and program standards
  • Support continuity of care and coordinate with referral sources and community partners as needed
  • Be available for scheduled after-hours on-call coverage as needed to support program continuity
  • Participate in monthly medical records reviews and QA/QI meetings
  • Contribute to documentation accuracy and support medical necessity requirements in collaboration with billing and utilization review partners
  • Assist with readiness activities for state licensing visits, audits, and accreditation surveys as requested
