About the Role & Responsibilities Reporting to the Director of Counseling & Advocacy Services, you will provide essential mental health support to a diverse student body. This role balances direct clinical care with innovative community outreach and psycho-educational programming, ensuring our students have the emotional resources they need to excel in their creative pursuits.

Requirements

  • Current licensure in Massachusetts (LICSW, LMFT, LMHC, or Licensed Psychologist).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience providing counseling services, especially culturally relevant, community-based interventions.
  • Strong skills in psychological assessment, individual therapy, and group counseling.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with multicultural and diverse student populations.
  • Experience with crisis intervention and knowledge of student development theories.
  • Knowledge of medical insurance eligibility and mental health systems/resources.
  • Proficiency in tech tools such as Google suite, HER software, Canva, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Board Certification in Music Therapy or experience working with musicians, dancers, and actors is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide short-term individual and group psychotherapy and maintain an active clinical caseload.
  • Conduct psychological assessments and provide referrals to community providers for longer-term care or psychiatric evaluation.
  • Develop and lead community mental health initiatives specifically tailored to various student populations.
  • Participate in the on-call clinician rotation to provide vital crisis intervention services.
  • Provide clinical supervision to interns and consultation to faculty, staff, and student leaders.
  • Serve as a consultant for post-hospitalization discharge planning and follow-up.
  • Collaborate with the Health and Wellness team on outreach services and programming
