For more information about the Tribe, visit www.aguacaliente-nsn.gov . JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY Responsible for providing direct clinical therapy services to Tribal Members and/or their families. This may include: individual/ family/ couples counseling; child/ play therapy; substance abuse counseling/ recovery/ support/ referral; crisis response; facilitating group classes; and case management.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Clinical Counseling or Behavioral Sciences.
  • California licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) required.
  • Experience in providing trauma-informed therapy, with specialized trauma-modality certifications preferred.
  • Alcohol and drug counseling certification/experience preferred
  • Experience working with Native American populations preferred.
  • To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 ½ miles, climbing, stairs and sitting at a desk/work station for the duration of the shift.
  • Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and /or carry otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, couples and or family therapy using evidence-based practices.
  • Provide clinical intakes, assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and case management of clinical cases.
  • Work with multidisciplinary team in Tribal Family Services to ensure highest quality of care.
  • Act as liaison with outside service providers to access additional services/resources as needed.
  • Maintain appropriate clinical documentation in a timely manner.
  • Develop and support strategic relationships within the community that support client services needs and interests.
