About The Position

Geisinger Medical Clinic Scenery Park is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for a full-time day shift position. The role includes a $7500 sign-on bonus and requires an active Pennsylvania LCSW license. The position involves assessing patient needs, developing treatment plans, and providing various forms of psychotherapy. The LCSW will collaborate with the psychiatry team and other professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. The work environment is clinical, and the role demands adherence to agency policies and ethical standards.

Requirements

  • Active Pennsylvania Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Master's Degree in Social Work.
  • Experience in assessment and diagnosis, behavioral therapy management, and compliance with healthcare policies and ethics.

  • Experience in providing psychotherapy and case management.
  • Familiarity with team collaboration in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient needs and abilities and develop treatment plans to facilitate improved patient functioning/symptom resolution.
  • Provide individual, family, couple, and group psychotherapy as deemed clinically appropriate.
  • Participate in program planning with the psychiatry team and other applicable team members.
  • Evaluate the ongoing biopsychosocial needs of patients, identifying needs and problems and determining a treatment plan.
  • Provide psychotherapies and case management to assigned patients and input regarding the care of program patients.
  • Engage as a primary therapist or co-therapist in group therapy for psychiatric patients and as the primary therapist in individual, family, and couple therapies.
  • Obtain pertinent data in accordance with program and regulatory standards.
  • Uphold agency policies and standards as well as ethical standards of appropriate discipline.
  • Collaborate with outpatient and inpatient teams to provide triage evaluation and crisis intervention.
