About The Position

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) provides direct clinical services and program leadership under The Mom & Dad Project’s Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) contract. This role delivers trauma-informed, culturally responsive mental health services to children, youth, adults, and families in community, school-based, and cbo-based settings. The LCSW ensures compliance with Medi-Cal, DBH, CalAIM, and documentation standards while supporting integrated care, community partnerships, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California
  • Eligible for credentialing with Medi-Cal and County DBH
  • Credentialed to practice within scope at The Mom & Dad Project
  • BLS Certification within 3 months of hire
  • Knowledge of community mental health and Medi-Cal systems
  • Ability to meet productivity and documentation standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to use communication skills to enhance learning through motivation, associations and repetition
  • Strong organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office
  • Must have the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other members of the health care team
  • Must be able to withstand stressful situations
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Good clinical understanding of adult mental health, diagnosis in the DSM IV-TR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in community-based, school-based, or integrated care settings
  • Experience working with children, youth, and families
  • Experience with trauma-informed, culturally responsive care
  • One-year experience working in an outpatient clinic
  • Knowledge of EMR system or ability to learn and use the Electronic Medical Record system
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred
