About The Position

Our compassionate, rural health clinic and hospital seeks an experienced Social Worker with a background in clinical psychosocial responsibilities. The ideal candidate should be comfortable helping patients deal with their often complex social and emotional problems, including important decisions about their loved ones. If you have experience with psychosocial models and if you enjoy working with patients who are living with mental and physical disabilities on a daily basis, we want to meet with you. We’re ideally seeking an applicant with experience in behavioral health and opioid use disorder and client-facing communications.

Requirements

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in clinical social work or related area.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of mental health treatment experience
  • Must have experience working with adolescents, families and various populations in the community.
  • Experience working successfully with issues of substance abuse, mental health, criminal background, and other potential barriers to economic self-sufficiency.
  • Master’s degree in social work
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field
  • Current California License required (Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Alcohol Counselor (LAC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC)
  • Current CPR certification
  • Team player that can follow a system and protocol to achieve a common goal.
  • Proficiency in use of electronic medical records.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office – specifically Word and Excel.
  • Ability to organize and triage.
  • Good analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with physicians, management and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Culturally competent and able to work with a diverse population, action oriented.
  • Knowledge of co-occurring disorders and trauma informed treatment
