Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) – Justice-Involved Youth | Georgia
About The Position
Sunny Days Therapeutics is seeking a Georgia-licensed LCSW to provide trauma-informed therapy to youth and young adults involved with the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ). This role is ideal for a confident, grounded clinician who can manage high-acuity cases, court involvement, and complex family systems while maintaining strong clinical documentation and professional boundaries. Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Georgia LCSW license
- Experience working with adolescents and high-risk populations
- Strong assessment, crisis management, and documentation skills
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care
Nice To Haves
- Experience with DJJ or court-involved youth
- Already credentialed with Payers in GA
- Substance use treatment experience
- Training in TF-CBT, DBT, or similar models
- Calm and confident in high-intensity situations
- Able to balance empathy with structure and accountability
- Comfortable with court-mandated services
- Collaborative and systems-oriented
- Interested in managing and mentoring other LMSW staff as our DJJ networking grows
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and family therapy to justice-involved youth
- Complete assessments and diagnostic evaluations
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based interventions (CBT, TF-CBT, MI, anger management, etc.)
- Conduct suicide risk assessments and safety planning
- Support clients with trauma, behavioral disorders, substance use, and reentry challenges
- Collaborate with probation officers, courts, schools, and caregivers
- Maintain timely, legally sound documentation
