Requirements

• Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field
• Current and valid LAC, LSW, LPC, or LCSW for the state in which services are provided
• Experience with sex offender treatment is required
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health services including intake, crisis intervention, individual counseling, and group counseling
• Analyze psychological and psychosocial aspects of individual interrelationships to understand thoughts, feelings, and behaviors
• Collaborate with the treatment team to determine, coordinate, and implement appropriate inmate/patient care
• Prepare and maintain progress notes and discharge summaries
• Maintain a therapeutic and safe environment for all inmates/patients
• Facilitate therapeutic groups addressing specific treatment issues
• Provide observational feedback within the multidisciplinary team context
• Refer inmates/patients for outside services upon release
• Perform all other duties as assigned
