About The Position

Responsible for providing individual, family, and group therapy, assessment and evaluation services for clients experiencing a range of behavioral health challenges. The Clinical Psychologist will complete psychological screening, assessments and interventions across programs. Services will include providing evaluation, consultation, and monitoring of individuals receiving voluntary and involuntary care. Position will work in a multidisciplinary team of providers supporting clinic and community-based services

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution required.
  • Prior experience working with clients experiencing severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI) and co-occurring substance use disorders preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be evaluated and considered.
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire; must maintain a clean driving record. Frequent travel between SummitStone locations and external events is required.
  • Current and valid DORA license to practice as a Clinical Psychologist in the state of CO required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct clinical interviews, screenings, psychological assessments, and testing in outpatient programs.
  • Diagnose emotional, behavioral, and developmental disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized, developmentally appropriate treatment plans in collaboration with clients, families, and care teams.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapy (individual, group, and family).
  • Consult with other providers to coordinate care.
  • Monitor and document client progress, and revise treatment plans as needed.
  • Maintain clinical records in compliance with agency, legal, and ethical standards.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, staff training, and ongoing clinical development.
  • Opportunity for position to provide supervision to doctoral interns.
  • Professional Person on-call pool involvement.
  • Evaluate individuals requiring involuntary care and monitor short-term certification and involuntary commitment cases as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
