About The Position

We are looking for Licensed Clinical Psychologists to join our well established and accredited team of providers. As one of the preferred Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) in Arizona, our mission is to sustain and improve health by providing excellent, patient-centered primary care. As a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, you will be working in one of our primary care clinics as an integrated team member and will deliver brief consultation-based services including behavioral interventions for psychological, mental, and physical conditions in patients of all ages. Licensed Clinical Psychologists may provide traditional counseling to Mountain Park patients aged 12 years through adulthood.

Requirements

  • Current licensure in the state of Arizona as a Clinical Psychologist.
  • Must be eligible for credentialing and contracting with all insurers.

Nice To Haves

  • Training in Motivational Interviewing (MI).
  • Training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Responsibilities

  • Provides brief, evidence-based, solution focused behavioral interventions with active development of psychotherapeutic/psychoeducational behavioral change planning for patients of Mountain Park Health Center.
  • Provides quality clinical consultation to patients and providers regarding mental, behavioral, emotional, and physical health related issues.
  • Provides screening and functional assessment of behavioral health issues for Mountain Park Health Center.
  • Collaborates with medical providers, support staff, and operational managers to identify patients with medical, cognitive, behavioral, and/or psychological conditions that could benefit from behavioral health interventions, such as motivational interviewing, and provide these services in a timely manner within the clinic setting.
  • Develops and implements specific clinical pathways for select patients.
  • Facilitates groups to address biopsychosocial issues impacting medical care.
  • Assists with coordination of care and access to behavioral health agencies in the community to meet the patient's behavioral health care needs with consistent, expeditious feedback to referring providers.
  • Provides crisis triage and intervention.
  • Helps with de-escalating situations with patients who are upset or distressed.
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
