About The Position

Under the direction of the Director of Inpatient Behavioral Health Programs, this position is responsible for responding to inquiry calls from patients, family members, and referral sources and facilitating an appropriate disposition, which may include admission to the inpatient psychiatric program at Valleywise Health or referral to other programs and services. The position works closely with nursing, physicians, patient registration, legal services and payor representatives. Hourly Pay Rate: $32.84 - $48.44 Night Shift -9p - 930a Wed, Thur, Fri Night shift differential is paid at 18% of the employee's base rate of pay. Weekend differential is paid at 8% of the employee's base rate of pay.

Requirements

• Requires a Master's Degree in Social Work or related field.
• Must have a minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience as a social worker in a behavioral health facility that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Pursuant to Arizona Administrative Code R9-10-306 CHAPTER 10 of the Dept. of Health Services, personnel must be at least 21 years of age, or at least 18 years of ageand licensed or certified under A.R.S. Title 32, and providing services within the personnel member's scope of practice.
• Must have and maintain licensure by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as either a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
• Requires a BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center within three months.
• Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
• Must be familiar with inpatient behavioral health admission criteriaand the court-ordered process for mental health treatment in the State of Arizona.
• Strong knowledge of community behavioral health resources is needed.
