About The Position

Provides an opportunity for individuals to fulfill the experience requirements for licensure as a Licensed Behavioral Health Professional by providing professional counseling services while under the supervision of an approved supervisor. The Licensed Behavioral Health Professional Candidate/Supervisee’s experience shall be compatible with the knowledge and skills acquired during education in accordance with professional requirements and relevant to the intended area of practice.

Requirements

Must possess a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or another field of study enabling LBHP status. No exceptions.
An individual should know Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.
Must possess a valid driver’s license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care.
Possess and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. BLS can be obtained during orientation.
Must have Board approval of the supervision or contract in the state of Oklahoma within one (1) of the following areas of practice: Psychology, Social Work, Professional Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, Behavioral Practitioner, or Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
Must possess and maintain certification and training for any assessment that requires it to be administered and interpreted.
Employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Attorney General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG’s Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA’s List of Excluded Providers or listed on the OIG’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
