About The Position

The Licensed Behavior Analyst - Level II position at NYC Health + Hospitals involves creating treatment plans and activities for patients with various neurodevelopmental disabilities, including autism and related behavioral health disorders. The role requires applying principles of applied behavior analysis to design, implement, and evaluate environmental modifications aimed at improving patient behavior. The analyst will work under the supervision of a licensed psychologist and must comply with all relevant regulations and standards of care. The position is full-time, with a regular day shift from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

Requirements

  • Valid license and current registration to practice as a Licensed Behavior Analyst issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED).
  • Two years of post-licensure experience coordinating and providing applied behavior analytic services.

Responsibilities

  • Provides applied behavior analysis services for patients with autism and related disorders.
  • Conducts functional behavior assessments and creates behavioral programs based on the function of problem behavior.
  • Designs, implements, and evaluates environmental modifications to improve behavior using direct observation and functional analysis.
  • Develops treatment goals including self-help, social interaction, language and communication, play and leisure skills, and safety skills.
  • Develops and adjusts treatment protocols based on data collection and analyzes data to assess progress.
  • Collaborates with a unit-based team to develop and implement Individual Behavior Plans.
  • Educates unit-based staff on data collection and implementation techniques for Individual Behavior Plans.
  • Coordinates care with family members and conducts training for parents, guardians, and staff.
  • Leads individual and small group social skills groups and maintains accurate records of evaluations and treatment services.
  • Provides ongoing training to staff on behavioral management strategies.
