About The Position

Avita Health System is proud to serve the communities of Crawford and Richland counties through three hospitals and numerous clinic locations. Our mission is to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to the people who depend on us. We’re currently seeking a dedicated Licensed Athletic Trainer to join our Sports Medicine Department at our Galion location. Position Overview Responsible for preventing, examining, and treating injuries. Develop effective treatment plans appropriate to the athlete's needs. Give nutritional guidance and recommendations consistent with athlete needs and goals.  Order necessary equipment and supplies. Keep up to date records on all patients. Carry out all prescribed treatments and recommendations by the team/program/event or clinical physician as appropriate. Demonstrates the knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the lifespan and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information.

Requirements

  • Must possess a bachelor degree in a health-related field.
  • Must be certified by the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer
  • Must be licensed by the Ohio OTPTAT Board.
  • Current BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one year of experience as a certified Athletic Trainer.
