The Assistant Security Operations Supervisor (ASOS) plays a vital role in supporting the daily supervision of the Data Centre Security Team. The ASOS is responsible for assisting the SOS in ensuring the smooth operation of security activities, providing training and development to allocated security staff, and monitoring the completion of assigned tasks.

Requirements

  • Must have Data Center background of one year and a supervisory capacity in security of one year
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in leading a team.
  • Trained to an Operator level within a SOC.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organization and planning skills, ability to instruct and delegate work.
  • Demonstrates integrity and is committed to upholding ethics and organizational values.
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Valid KC Security License
  • Valid MO Driver’s License Driver’s License
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Maintain a Strong Security Culture: Lead by example, set standards, and display passion and enthusiasm for the role.
  • Operational Information Gathering and Reporting: Gather and report operational information from daily shifts.
  • Staff Briefings and Scheduling: Conduct and document staff briefings, provide accurate scheduling details.
  • Shift Updates and Communication: Track and provide shift updates to SOS, including significant operational events, team meetings, communications, logistics, DCST officer interviews conducted, and training completed.
  • On-Site Activity Communication: Communicate activities on-site to team members.
  • Security Post Management: Ensure all security posts are manned in line with global standards guarding model.
  • Support and Relief: Be prepared to provide support and relief to posts where required.
  • Incident Briefing: Brief SOS on incidents – potential or realized.
  • Post Visits and Staff Engagement: Conduct post visits and staff engagement in line with site outlined requirements.
  • Global Standards Compliance: Ensure that global standards as outlined by Facebook are carried out on post.
  • Security Staff Proficiency Assessment: Assess the proficiency and effectiveness of security staff to ensure they meet vendor and Facebook expectations.
  • Primary Point of Contact: Serve as the primary point of contact between site security management and security officers.
  • Uniformed Security Personnel: Ensure uniformed security personnel adhere to global standards.
  • Acknowledge and greet all guests in a prompt and courteous manner
  • Manage all guest/visitor access as needed and eject trespasser or violators from premises when deemed necessary
  • Verify credentials of incoming and outgoing individuals/vehicles
  • Document and maintain a log of visitors and notify residents of visitor’s arrival
  • Assist in protecting others and equipment while enforcing policies and procedures
  • Monitor and or detect any suspicious behavior to assist in the prevention of vandalism, theft and or other criminal behavior
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms
  • Patrol the perimeter (interior/exterior) to identify potential safety and security risks
  • Warn violators of infractions e.g., loitering, smoking and or in possession of prohibited items
  • Respond to calls of distress, alarms and or emergencies such as fire, injuries or presence of unauthorized individuals by contacting local first responders
  • Identify and report any and all concerns (safety, security breaches, unusual circumstances) in a timely manner
  • Ensures accuracy and timely submission of required documentation (reports/documents)
  • Ensure all rules/regulations are being enforced and followed
  • Other duties to be determined by operations
