About The Position

Gersh Autism is seeking a skilled and dedicated Licensed Assistant Behavior Analyst (LABA) to join our team in Issaquah, WA. As a LABA, you will play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans, ensuring that our students receive the highest quality of support and care.

Requirements

  • Licensed Behavior Analyst: Hold a valid License in Applied Behavior Analysis (LABA) in the state of Washington.
  • Enrolled in Master's program for ABA
  • Experience: Previous experience working with individuals with autism and developing behavior intervention plans.
  • Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with students, families, and staff.
  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and interpretation to inform decision-making.
  • Compassion: A genuine passion for working with individuals with autism and a commitment to their well-being and success.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to develop effective behavior intervention strategies.
  • Flexibility: Adaptability and willingness to adjust strategies based on individual student needs and progress.

Responsibilities

  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals with autism to identify strengths and areas of need.
  • Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA): Conduct FBAs to identify the function of challenging behaviors and develop behavior intervention plans (BIPs) accordingly.
  • Individualized Programming: Develop and oversee individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students, tailoring interventions to meet their unique needs.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Implement data collection systems and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make data-driven decisions.
  • Training and Collaboration: Provide training and support to staff, teachers, and families to ensure consistency in implementing behavior intervention strategies.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor and review students' progress, making necessary adjustments to BIPs as required.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including speech therapists, occupational therapists, and educational staff, to create a holistic support system.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant state regulations, ethical guidelines, and best practices in applied behavior analysis (ABA).
  • Family Engagement: Maintain open and regular communication with families to provide support, answer questions, and offer guidance.
