About The Position

Hawaiian Experience Spa is a different type of employer. Hawaiian Experience Spa is a family-owned day spa founded in 2007 and operated in a manner guided by the Hawaiian principle of Aloha. Everything from our guest services to our employment practices to our physical design and marketing systems is driven by the spirit of Aloha. We currently have two locations, one in Scottsdale and the other in Goodyear, AZ. Our spas offer a variety of services in the categories of massage therapy, facials and skin care, body treatments and couples experiences. Our therapeutic treatments, many of which are unique to our spas, are influenced by Hawaiian traditions, cultural practices and philosophies, and offer a fusion of spiritual and emotional renewing along with scientifically based therapeutic techniques. We believe in propelling the spa forward by focusing on our ohana (employee) experience as the number one driver of success and growth. Hawaiian Experience Spa is run by hands on by the owner, Mike Ibach, who has a passion for skin care, massage therapy and general wellness. The spa uses top of the line, organic products, specifically Eminence Organic Skin Care for all aesthetics’ treatments. This phenomenal skin care line has its own, cult-like following, simply because of how great it is. Our environment is casual, caring and full of aloha. We value your time, energy, and dedication, pay a decent amount and reward you for spreading your passionate about skin care. Every 'ohana member's job is to help to make sure we all have an awesome work experience. When we have an awesome experience at work, we can easily provide the guest with the exceptional Hawaiian spa experience they look forward to when they visit our little piece of Hawaii. As an esthetician at the spa, a foundational aspect of your position is to educate guests, get them involved with their skin care at home and to get them to realize the benefits of regular treatments. Your workflow at the spa is pretty straight forward; Review your schedule Set up your room for your first service Greet the guest in our lounge at the starting time. The guest will already have a robe on. Take guest into your room and review the guest’s medical intake form for contraindications, etc. Discuss with the guest their expectations and preferences Leave room so guest can get on table Come back in and provide your healing magic After treatment discuss recommended products with the guest and/or other recommendations for them Fill out treatment notes on the service (mini SOAP notes) Reset your room for your next appointment Turn in your files at the end of the day and say aloha!

Requirements

Must have a current Arizona Esthetic’s license
Must be able to tailor treatments to the guest’s specific skin care needs
Must have a passionate for organic skin care with a desire and ability to spread that passion to others
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
A desire to work with our entire team to help one another succeed and have an awesome work experience
Positive and caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others
A willingness to learn and share Aloha!

Responsibilities

Review your schedule
Set up your room for your first service
Greet the guest in our lounge at the starting time. The guest will already have a robe on.
Take guest into your room and review the guest’s medical intake form for contraindications, etc.
Discuss with the guest their expectations and preferences
Leave room so guest can get on table
Come back in and provide your healing magic
After treatment discuss recommended products with the guest and/or other recommendations for them
Fill out treatment notes on the service (mini SOAP notes)
Reset your room for your next appointment
Turn in your files at the end of the day and say aloha!
Educate guests, get them involved with their skin care at home and to get them to realize the benefits of regular treatments.

Benefits

Our estheticians earn around $55 per hourly service (with tips), plus commission on product sales
Guaranteed Tips: The spa guarantees that you will receive an average of $20 per hour or more in tips. Tipping is mandatory at Hawaiian Experience Spa and all of our online gift cards include $25 per hour of gratuity which goes entirely to the esthetician.
Tiered commission of up to 25% on product sales
High pay per treatment
Estheticians are paid for no shows, late cancellations, etc.
