Licensed Admissions Clinician
About The Position
Are you a counselor looking to work with children and their families? Meridell Achievement Center is seeking an Admission Clinician to join our fun and energetic intake team dedicated to providing quality residential treatment for children and adolescents ranging from 11-17 years old. Meridell Achievement Center is a nationally recognized private residential treatment facility that specializes in providing exceptional care for children and adolescents with emotional, behavioral, and neurobehavioral problems for over 60 years. We offer evidence-based treatment and compassionate care through tailored inpatient and outpatient services, with a mission to provide safe, effective, and compassionate mental health and substance use treatment.
Requirements
- Must have Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a mental health field.
- Must have LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or LMSW
- High level of initiative, motivation, independent judgment and organizational skills
- Ability to relate to those emotionally disturbed and in crisis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Clinical experience in psychiatric setting; situational evaluation and crisis intervention experience (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the patient intake process
- Provide information to individuals, agencies, facilities and professional staff requesting information regarding potential admissions
- Develop and maintain relationships with ongoing referral sources
- Other duties as assigned
