About The Position

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) at West Anaheim Medical Center is responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care services in the emergency room setting. This role requires technical and manual skills to meet the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care, while ensuring effective communication with patients and their families. The LVN operates under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and is expected to demonstrate knowledge of EMTALA regulations and the triage process.

Requirements

• Current and valid state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current NRP certificate preferred or within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• IV certification upon hire; Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.

• Current NRP certificate preferred.
• Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification preferred.

Responsibilities
