Position Summary The Cancer Center Social Worker is responsible for providing psychosocial and clinical support services to Cancer Center patients and their families primarily in the outpatient setting. The Social Worker assesses patients from a culturally and ethnically diverse population and provides outpatient clinical intervention while establishing plans for effective management of identified needs. The Social Worker acts as an advocate for patients and provides supportive, short-term counseling, crisis intervention and care management to individuals and/or their families impacted by cancer.
