About The Position

Our Nuclear Services Group is seeking a full time License Renewal Engineering Manager to join the ENERCON License Renewal Team based in our Kennesaw, GA (HQ) or Chattanooga, TN location. This role is a unique blend of leadership, strategy, and collaboration—where business insight meets people development and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university; and 10 years' experience in the US Commercial Nuclear Power Industry - OR - Appropriate industry recognized licenses/ certifications indicating achievement in Engineering; and 12 years' experience in the US Commercial Nuclear Power Industry.
  • 4+ years of lead/supervision/management experience with a demonstrated ability to lead people.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in license renewal or other nuclear regulatory projects and activities.
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable government codes and industry standards.
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational, time management, strategic planning, writing, communication, decision-making, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel between 15-25% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks.
  • Must be able to gain authorization/clearance to access regulated electric utility facilities.

Nice To Haves

  • PE License preferred.
  • Experience with leading license renewal activities and/or teams (implementation or application) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead with purpose—build client relationships, guide a high-performing team, and shape strategic growth.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, develop and review proposals, and engage in customer interaction.
  • Support marketing efforts, including identification of new business opportunities and proposal preparation.
  • Assist with development and execution of business plans, market assessment and planning, contract negotiation, and product/service development.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, performance reviews, and career development opportunities for the team.
  • Hire, develop, and direct staff activities.
  • Participate in technical recruiting programs.
  • Oversee staff, quality of deliverables, schedules, and budgets.
