About The Position

About the Role The role of the License Practical Nurse (LPN) at US Urology Partners is to provide clinical support to the providers of our practice. What You’ll Be Doing The LPN directs assigned provider patient schedule throughout the day. Responsible for medication/script line. Re-directs the message to the RN, APP or provider if any clinical assessments need to be made on the patient’s behalf. Responsible for completing, in a timely manner, all company training and in-services, including but not limited to annual OSHA training and PPD placements. Prepares room & equipment for office procedures assisting providers with office procedures to carry out clinical care including preparing the patient for their appointment. The LPN explains procedures to the patients addressing any questions or concerns they may have within the scope of practice. Maintains working knowledge of OSHA compliance standards and applies these policies and procedures to daily responsibilities. Reports any adverse medication events to supervising provider. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited LPN Program
  • Current New York state License
  • Current CPR certification
  • At least one (1) year of medical/surgical experience is preferred
  • Travel to other Clinics as needed
  • Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have thorough knowledge in computer information systems.
